When Jozely Short moved to Delaware in 2018, she was searching for a place to call home, worship, and grow in Christ. She found it in an unlikely place: a conversation with a stranger in a Chick-fil-A drive-thru who mentioned a church called The Journey.
What she found at The Journey — the diversity, the warmth, the sense that she belonged — brought her back.
She and Donnie built a marriage centered on God: praying together, reading scripture, and letting hard conversations happen with him in the room.
For Donnie, that posture of pursuing God became the same posture that shaped his own journey into ministry.
